The tandem thrust cylindrical roller bearing of the extruder gearbox is a precision component designed to withstand high axial loads, mainly used in twin-screw/three screw extruders, gearboxes and other equipment. Its core features include:
High load-bearing capacity: Designed with cylindrical roller convex surface, it can withstand melt pressure of over 30MPa and axial load of over 10 tons
Multi column structure: Common combinations of two to seven columns, such as T4AR, M5CT, and other series
Material and process: GCr15 bearing steel is commonly used, and some models are equipped with copper retainers to extend their service life
Installation steps
1. Cleaning and preparation: Clean the bearings and shaft/housing with kerosene or gasoline to ensure that there are no burrs or residual rust proof oil.
2. Lubrication treatment: After drying, apply low viscosity lubricating oil (grease lubrication needs to be evenly encapsulated).
Installation method:
Press fitting: Suitable for small and medium-sized bearings, it is necessary to align the axis centerline and apply pressure steadily.
Heating method: During interference fit, heat the inner ring of the bearing (temperature ≤ 120 ℃) to avoid direct fire baking.
Trial operation: Run at low speed (2000-3000 rpm) for 30 minutes, gradually increasing to the working speed.
Disassembly steps
Tool selection:
Small bearings: Puller or tapping method (with cushion block added).
Large bearings: hydraulic puller or oil injection method.
Operation points:
Maintain even force distribution and avoid damaging the shaft or bearing seat.
Control the temperature during hot disassembly to prevent demagnetization.
Precautions
During installation, it is necessary to measure the shaft/housing tolerance to ensure that the fit meets the standards.
After disassembly, check the cause of bearing failure to avoid reusing damaged parts.
